International Agricultural Exchanges
Kimseed Group directors Steve Hill and John Bird are hosts for the
International Agricultural Exchange Association (IAEA).
IAEA AgriVenture is a voluntary international organisation which
provides young people from Australia and overseas the fantastic
opportunity to gain experience of living and working abroad in a family
environment.
The main objectives of IAEA are:
- To learn about agriculture in other parts of the world;
- Try other ways of life and culture;
- Gain a better understanding of people from other countries;
- Increase the trainees knowledge of foreign languages
While most participants live and work on farms, ours live with their
hosts in Perth and work in Kimseed's seed division, gaining work
experience and cultural exchange.
Over the years we have welcomed people from Norway, Ireland, Sweden,
Denmark, Netherlands, England, and Germany. All participants spend a
memorable part of their 7-9 month stay as part of a project team
experiencing the Australian 'bush' in the Kimberleys, Pilbara, northern
Goldfields and Esperance.
AgriVenture caters for young people aged 18-30, and is a fantastic
opportunity to experience other cultures and broaden horizons. If you
are interested in participating in AgriVenture, information is available
from the Australian office listed below.
